They are available as socket weld fittings or threaded fittings. Material conforms with carbon steel A105 and stainless steel SS316. Carbon steel cost lower, but stainless steel offers excellent protection against corrosion and rust.
Forged pipe fittings have higher strength and can withstand higher pressure.
The wall thickness is thicker than other type of fittings for threading process or machining to socket weld end.
